MAB-MINIMAL ACOUSTIC BAND

MAB is a diferent musical project, it´s a curios mixture of sounds and peculiar instruments like the Didgeridoo, the Hang or the Shruti, played over a strong electronic base.
This project developed in Barcelona is the result of the union of tow musicians Arturo Lanz and Victor Carol, who give life to MAB - Minimal Acustic Band.

The rhythms and beats of this band are the result of years of personal investigation by each of the bands members, influenced by diferent cultures of the world, like the music of the australian aborigines, japanies or arabian melodies to Drum&Bass and Break-Beat.

ARTUR LANZ

Young multifacet musician and composer that from 1997 entirley gives him self to music with the help of percussions and wind instruments. From 2003 he descovers his compositive facet influenced by antropomusicology and latest tendencies. The year that he records with Victor Carol "Didgeridoo Barcelona style".
Hi participates in divers musical bands as aranger and asists to both international festival of Didgeridoo "Tribales" as solo artist and member of MAB.
He plays instruments like Didgeridoo, Hang, Logdrum, Berimbao, Arp Bansuri, Native american flute, Fuyara, Cajon, Panderos, Minor percussions, Bird reclaims, Digital percussions and informatic programs for electronic themes composisions.

VICTOR CAROL

He plays didgeridoo from 1997, from 2000 he imparts lectures in civic centers, assisting to work shops leaded by Mark Atkins
and records next to Arturo Lanz the album "Didgeridoo Barcelona Style".
Also participating in both international festivals of Didgeridoo "Tribales" the first year as solo artist as member of the fusion band flamenco Bazaar. And the second as member of Minimal Acoustic Band next to Arturo Lanz.
Then travels to Japan were he plays in many venues in the illes of Osaka and Kyoto. Moving later to Australia were he expands his knoledg of the Didgeridoo and the aborigine culture.
In thees days he participates with the Calba teatre as musician in the play Un bissou pour Antoni Artaud and still member of Bazaar.
